After the huge success of the 2017 Sunday Concert Series, the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium is proud to present the 2018 series, packed with some of Australia’s most prodigious musicians whilst retaining the intimate atmosphere that audiences have come to love.
Concert Four features the exhilarating Glenn Christensen and Stewart Kelly in Concert. The duo will be presenting a stunning program of 20th Century works that create an afternoon of pure delight. They will be joined on stage by the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium’s Acting Artistic Director, Pat Brearley.
From 2015, Glenn has been a full-time member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Principal First Violin in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra from 2012. He has also performed as Guest Principal with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, was the Concertmaster of the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2012 and 2013 and was an Australian Chamber Orchestra Emerging Artist in 2012.
Stewart Kelly is one of Australia’s most eclectic pianists, performing regularly as soloist, duo partner, vocal accompanist and chamber musician. He is also a pedagogue, piano importer and broadcaster. He is on staff at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music at the University of Melbourne and is a faculty member of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. As Artistic Director and producer, Stewart is responsible for Music By The Springs, a boutique chamber music festival held in beautiful Hepburn Springs each February and in 2018 directs his seventh season of the Con Brio Concert Series at the Arts Centre Gold Coast.
