Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium offers the following services
to students currently enrolled at the Conservatorium:
Instrument Hire
A number of musical instruments are available for hire to students
who may wish to study music but otherwise do not have access to
an instrument.
A refundable deposit of $100 is required, plus $55 per term fee
for hire. From time to time, the Director may elect to waive
the hire fee.
Music & Sound Library
A modest, but growing library of music reference books and music such as orchestral scores
for bands, ensembles and orchestras is available for loan. There
are also collections of music for individual instruments in the
full range of classical, popular, contemporary and jazz idioms.
Borrowing is encouraged, provided all items are noted at the Conservatorium
Office before being removed from the Conservatorium building.
Items marked 'not for loan' are for reference only and
may not leave the Conservatorium building.
The Conservatorium also holds a library of audiotapes, records,
CD’s and music video recordings. The majority of these recordings
are of 20th century popular and jazz music dating back to the
1920’s. A collection of classical music is also available.
Audiotapes, records, CD recordings, DVDs and videos may be borrowed
for one week only by arrangement with the Conservatorium Office.
Recording Studio
Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium now offers a fully equipped
Recording Studio. The studio is available for hire by students
and the general public.
Studio time is charged at $88 per hour,
which includes GST and the fee for recording engineer Martin
van Veluwen. Recordings can be delivered on DAT tape, CD or audio-cassette,
