The Seven Harp Ensemble (SHE) - Concert

SHE is an exciting and enchanting ensemble with a diverse repertoire including many newly commissioned Australian works. The group brings together graduates of the Australian National University under the direction of world renowned harpist, Alice Giles, Senior Lecturer at the ANU.
The ensemble was granted the honour of performing as the only Australian representatives at the American Harp Conference in San Francisco in July 2006.
With the theme of the conference being ‘The Pacific Rim,’ the group played a program of newly commissioned Australian works.
SHE performances include: the Canberra International Music Festival (2009); ABC Classic FM Sunday Live; ANU School of Music; Wesley Music Centre; National Harp Weekend (2004); Canberra Museum for the Multicultural Festival; National Galley of Australia; 3rd Australian Harp Festival (2008); Kangaroo Valley; Goulburn; Gunning; Bundanoon; Narrandera; Temora; Yass; and Kioloa.
SHE has recorded a CD of their Australian commissions for the Tall Poppies label. Included on the album are works by Ross Edwards, Martin Wesley-Smith, Andrew Schultz and Sharon Calcraft.
Formerly known as the Kioloa Harp Ensemble, SHE was founded during the Kioloa Summer Harp Courses, run by Alice Giles at the ANU Coastal Campus, Kioloa, on the NSW South Coast.
The Seven Harp Ensemble consists of: Ingrid Bauer, Liena Lacey, Genevieve Lang, Hilary Manning, Tegan Peemoeller and Laura Tanata.

Tickets are $25 adult / $20 concession/student card holders and Friends of the Conservatorium / FREE for children up to Year 12.
