In 2017, three scholarships were awarded in the categories of Jazz, Classical and Contemporary music. The scholarships give the recipients 40 x 30 minute lessons, and multiple performance opportunities. 

The Bill Wood Annual Scholarship

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour City. Each year, students who consistently demonstrate musical talent and dedication are selected to receive this special scholarship. This is presented in memory of our past Board President Bill Wood who dedicated himself to our Conservatorium and the community through his Rotary works.

The 2017  winner is Mimana Kiel, who is studying jazz singing with Sara Battery. 

The Tom and Therese Murray-Prior Scholarship

We have been given this generous donation by suppporters of the Conservatorium to be awarded for students who demonstrate instrumental talent, musical ability and dedication in the field of Classical music. 

The 2017 winner is Jonah Spriggs, who is studying violin with Patrick Brearley. Jonah is Concertmaster of the Conservatorium Youth Orchestra. 

The Conservatorium Contemporary Music Scholarship
The 2017 winner is singer/guitarist Joshua Merchant, who is studying guitar with Karin Braidwood. 

Bursaries for 2017

We are again offering Bursary support in the form of fee relief for students in 2017. Application forms are available at the Conservatorium office.
