Amber Star Davis

Music Teacher

Amber started piano at age 7 and within months was winning Sydney 12 and under eisteddfod piano competitions. At age 12 Amber won a scholarship to the Sydney Conservatorium high school studying with the esteemed Alice Waten where she won full scholarships for violin tuition throughout high school. Amber then won her permanent position with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in March of 1996. Amber spent the next 23 years with the orchestra touring to Asia, Europe and the US playing in many of the greatest music halls of the world. In 2017 Amber and her family decided to make a lifestyle change to the beautiful Coffs Coast region to raise her young children away from the large Sydney city environment and moved to Thora on a rural farm. Amber is continuing to work with the SSO when she can make herself available.
