I joined the Board as a Director in May 2009 and from then until September 2020 I was Minutes Secretary.  I am currently a member of the Audit Risk and Compliance, and Professional Development Committees. 

From the small overcrowded Con of 2009, I have been part of the process that has seen the purchase and fitout of the current larger and professionally designed building.  Several re-structures and expansion of the Management and Administrative Staff have also been undertaken.  These better reflect the overall needs of the Con and all staff and students.   

My tertiary qualifications are a Bachelor of Arts (politics and history) and Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from UNE. This covered business and public sector management.  

I previously worked with Telstra managing the business relationships of a group of selected major corporate customers, and their interface with Telstra.   Other roles were as a Supervisor and Team Leader of staff specialist teams.  I have also worked as an Independent Consultant in several NSW Government Departments on staff promotion and selection panels. 

My background and experience have always required a mix of skills and awareness of business practices both public and private.  Good communication and interpersonal skills were essential, along with strong decision making and leadership skills.
