Patrick Brearley

Executive Director

Pat grew up in the tiny village of Wingello, NSW, attending the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium (now Hume Conservatorium) as a young student. Studying his Bachelor of Music in Hobart and continuing his study and professional work in Brisbane, QLD, Pat quickly became a passionate and sort after performer and educator. 2011 saw him move to Auckland, for a contract with the Auckland Philharmonia.
He continued his work around Australia, developing ties with leading educational institutions such as the Australian Youth Orchestra. Following 3 years at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), Pat shifted his career path and moved to Coffs Harbour to take on a strings teacher role at the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium (CHRC).
Pat was appointed Artistic Director of CHRC in 2018 and then Conservatorium Director in 2021. Pat delivers a thriving education and performance program to the greater Coffs Coast community and is committed to growth and development of regional music education in Australia, particularly regional NSW.
