Patrick Brearley


Pat grew up in the tiny regional village of Wingello, NSW, attending music lessons at the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium. He then moved to Hobart to commence his Bachelor of Music studies under Jo St. Leon. 2011 saw Pat move to Brisbane and Auckland, after winning the Manchester Fellowship with the Auckland Philharmonia (NZ). In 2014 Pat successfully auditioned for the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) and spent the next 2.5 years studying under Caroline Henbest. Pat is a highly sought-after chamber and orchestral musician and has performed around the globe in some of the world’s most famous concert halls.
Pat moved to Coffs Harbour in 2016 to take on a strings teacher position and in 2018 he successfully interviewed for the vacant Artistic Director position at the Coffs Conservatorium. Pat is a passionate advocate for music education and continues to promote the benefits and provide opportunities for students of all ages throughout the Coffs Coast.
