Peter started his musical life as a wind Major specialising in saxophone to Associate level through Trinity College of London. He also played oboe, bassoon, tuba, French horn and euphonium. Being a principle Euphonist for the Queensland Youth Orchestra, he spent many years performing in ensembles and conducting choirs, bands and orchestras.
After years as a conductor for the Sing 2001 choir, he became resident Musical Director for Local Theatre groups and have directed shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as a number of Australian premiers.
Peter also plays harp and fiddle. He played fiddle for Australian Idol winner Damien Leith’s Irish tour. As a recording artist, he has taken part to numerous recordings over the years, including recording with the Sandy Evans Trio and the Conservatorium’s sax quartets Stacks of Sax.

What instrument(s) do you teach?
I teach Vocals, harp, mandolin, and banjo to name a few and love being a part of the Conservatorium which I have taught for since 2005.
