Ian has a strong background in finance and his skills specifically focus on accounting and business management. He has been a long-standing member of the board and has been larger responsible for guiding and overseeing the finances and expansion of the Conservatorium during its move to the present location.  His leadership has overseen the audit, risk and compliance aspects of governance as well as taking a leading role in the development of new teaching and performance space.

Ian is an enthusiastic traveler and has climbed to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza and watched the sun rise over Cairo while listening to the city come alive with it’s cacophony of sound which he describes as like listening to a symphony orchestra.

His idea is to grow and expand a community-based facility that is financially viable, reducing reliance upon Government grants while also establishing a first class Conservatorium that is widely recognised and accessed in the Coffs community.
