For our advanced Jazz/Contemporary Funk students. Soul and the Bass is directed by Dr Glen Hodges and is a captivating, high level ensemble that blends jazz and funk in a fresh, innovative manner. Horns, vocals, drummers, bass and key players are encouraged to join. Students are highly encouraged to take solos, with an emphasis on strong improvisational skills.Â
