Music in Schools

The Coffs Conservatorium delivers music lessons not only in-house but throughout local schools on the Coffs Coast. This enables students to have access to our high class teachers during school hours.

Lessons can be single study (just the teacher and student working together on a weekly basis), shared, or even group lessons on some instruments, and all lessons go for 30 minutes.

Learning a musical instrument gives students an advantage at school. Recent studies show that music education increases self-esteem, language skills, math skills, listening skills, creativity, helps to relieve stress, and contributes to helping the brain work harder! All of these benefits help students enjoy school and contribute to a well-rounded education.

School music lessons are available throughout the Coffs Coast. If you’re unsure if your school has a partnership with the Conservatorium, please get in touch with us at the front office or call 02 6652 1592 and we’ll do our best to deliver a music program to your school.

Creative kids vouchers are available for all school age children in NSW and can be redeemed for music lessons at the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium.
