The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium is excited to present the COAST Workshop on March 3 at 6pm.

Coast perform high energy jazz fusion lead by Drummer/Composer Paul Derricott.

The workshop will touch on the broad range of music the band has performed as sidemen (Aloe Blacc, The Beautiful Girls, Casey Donovan, Charenee Wade) and delve into the repertoire the band has established over the last 3 years.

Coast will introduce students to key aspects of music making in a broad sense and specific points of improvisation in the Jazz idiom. This workshop will reference music from Coasts first two albums Coast 2018 and Skim 2019 (Art as Catharsis) 

The workshop is open to all students, with a focus on improvisation and all things relating to jazz fusion and contemporary musical ideas and performances. 

Tickets are just $10 to attend, and anyone attending that plays an instrument is encouraged to bring it along.
