Join festival musicians, the Australian String Quartet, and Academy students for a full ensemble concert featuring music by Bloch, Mozart, Elgar, and Mendelssohn.

Guided by festival musicians and the ASQ, Academy students will reap the rewards of a three-tiered mentorship system and continue their early musical careers on stage at the festival. Opening the concert is Bloch’s exciting Concert Grosso No. 1 for piano and string orchestra. Following this, an intimate performance of Mozart’s Flute Quartet No. 1 in D will take place, showcasing students and professionals working together in the quartet formation. The beautiful Elgar Serenade for Strings comes next, and to close the concert is the magnificent Mendelssohn Octet.

The concert begins at 2pm and will include a short interval.
