Jaein Im was born in South Korea and moved to Australia for study and living. He completed a Bachelor of Music (Advanced Performance) and a Master of Music Studies (Performance Specialisation) at Queensland Conservatorium of Music. He has been pursuing his teaching career for over 13 years, in multiple locations between the two nations, Australia and South Korea.

Jaein has performed on various occasions as a soloist and as an accompanist, including the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition as one of 20 main round competitors, and the performance was broadcasted online internationally and through radio.
