CF9 Concert Grand Piano Unveiled at Coffs Con
On Friday 1 May, the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium came alive with an unforgettable evening of music, celebration, and community spirit, as we officially unveiled our beautifully restored CF9 Concert Grand Piano.
The recital hall was filled with anticipation as guests gathered to witness this milestone moment in the Conservatorium’s history. The evening proved to be a resounding success, showcasing not only the remarkable craftsmanship of the instrument but also the power of community collaboration that brought it back to life.
Acclaimed pianist Terrance Hays delivered a captivating performance, drawing out the rich tonal depth and expressive range of the CF9. His artistry transformed the evening into a truly special experience, demonstrating the extraordinary capabilities of this world-class instrument and leaving the audience inspired.
This project has been made possible through the generosity and support of many. We extend our sincere thanks to Coffs Harbour City Council, to our benefactor Harry, and to the incredible community whose contributions have helped restore this piano to its former glory. It is because of this shared commitment that the CF9 will continue to be played, enjoyed, and celebrated for many years to come.
While Friday night marked a major milestone, our fundraising journey is not yet complete. We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, but we have not quite reached our final goal. Continued support will ensure the long-term care, maintenance, and accessibility of this instrument for future generations of musicians and audiences.
