Local Musician Spotlight
with Joe Terror
I was lucky enough to catch up with local musician Jayden Hubbard aka Joe Terror who will be part of the lineup to Coffs Con’s very own Conversation Series!
Joe Terror grew up on and around Bundjalung, Gumbaynngirr and Yaegl country and found his connection and love to community and music through attending a local open mic night in South Grafton as a teenager. He speaks fondly of the open mic nights as it is where he “met some of the most important people in [his] life, formed bands and began recording and touring.” Unfortunately, the open mic nights have closed down which he reflected how “important [music] establishments are to a small community. People that step out and create an environment where corner of a community can thrive.”
Supporting our local musicians is something The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium is passionate and active about. Terror relays this that “in order for artists to thrive, they need people around the art – especially in regional towns.”
This is our aim with our Conversation Series, to connect audiences with local, homegrown artists. The event will take place on November 22nd at 6:30pm with tickets being available through the button or link below.
