This year as we celebrate 40 years of the Conservatorium, we also celebrate Lesley Schoer who has recently retired as President and Chair of the Board of Directors at the Conservatorium after 14 years.

Lesley has been an instrumental part of our Conservatorium, serving as Chair of the Board since April 2011, after joining in 2010. Under her visionary leadership, she worked closely with the management team to establish the Conservatorium as a leading educational institution renowned for excellence in both teaching and performance.

From the outset, Lesley had a clear vision for the Conservatorium’s role within the wider Coffs Harbour community. Her unwavering dedication, guidance and support have allowed us to reach and inspire many people within the region. Lesley’s nurturing presence, combined with her love, grace and passion, has shaped the Conservatorium into what it is today and will continue to resonate long after her departure.

As she takes a step back from her leadership role, the staff and students of the Conservatorium want to express our deep gratitude for her outstanding leadership, dedication and service. Lesley will have a lasting legacy here at The Conservatorium and we wish her the best for what is next to come!
